Want To Get More Of Your Emails Open
The world has become very high tech, however, when it comes to communicating there are still a lot of old issues to deal with. When it comes to communicating through email, you still have the same problems that you had with regular mail — convincing the recipient to open the message (or envelope).
Look at it this way, how many emails do you send to the trash without ever reading them. So the main thing you have to figure out is how to get people to open your email before trashing it. The best way to do this is by using a subject line that grabs the readers attention.
When reading a subject line in an email, the recipient gets an idea of what the message is about before opening it. It is like a guard, letting the receiver know whether the email should be opened. Here you will find some great tips on how to write the best subject links to make sure your emails get opened.
1. Create Something Important To Say
Leaving the subject line blank isn’t an option. Nobody is going to open a email if they have no idea who it is from or what it’s about. For one reason, they don’t have time to be bothered. For another reason, the threat of email viruses makes people nervous.
Almost as useless as leaving the subject line blank is typing the word “Hi” or “Greetings.” Those are fine for messages to your best friend or mom. But, in the professional world, it tells the recipient absolutely nothing.
2. Be As Specific As Possible
Many people receive loads of emails. Now if you want to get your email open you need to be specific in your subject line and let people know what you have to offer. The more information you provide in the subject line, the better chance you have of getting the person’s attention.
For example, Instead of typing “Question,” try, “Question about ABC event.”
3. Be Creative
Being creative is the best way to get people to open your emails so, Be creative.
4. Double check your spelling and make sure everything is spelled correctly. If people see that you can’t spell, it is not going to matter what you are promoting, your emails are not going to get opened
By using these guidelines you will get more people opening your emails. It is now up to you, you can keep doing what your doing right now, or you can start getting more emails opened.
