FEATURE ARTICLE

Experimenting With Your Link Placements
Part of getting a high clickthrough rate involves strategic placement of your links within your email campaign. There is no magical formula for link placement, unfortunately.
It’s all about experimenting, what works for a retail online store email, might be completely useless for a newsletter on blogging. If you start the newsletter off with a link, most people won’t click on it because they don’t yet know what you’re talking about, so try to place your links below the first paragraph, at least.

Test the Links in Your Email Campaign before Sending We strongly advise that you Test Send all your campaigns before sending out live, and this should include clicking on the links to check that they take you to the correct webpage. Why Test?

Why Reply to Requests Within 24 Hours
Responding to individual customer requests is an instrument of email marketing, and a crucial one, too. If somebody sends you an email it means they have examined and explored your business and have an interest in your products or services. If you do not reply promptly, you will not only miss the moment but you will probably lose a customer for life. Even worse, not recommending you to others.

FEATURED ARTICLE

Make Sure Your HTML and Plain Text Parts Have Corresponding Content Should you send your newsletter in plain text and abandon the advantage of rich HTML formatting? Or should you risk annoying some who detest HTML more than anything else? Fortunately, email has an elegant and almost universal solution to this dilemma: multipart/alternative messages.

What is the Difference Between Opt-in and Double Opt-In
Single opt in means that as soon as a contact completes your subscriber form, they are automatically added to your contact List. No additional confirmation or step is required.
Unlike single opt in, double opt-in requires your contacts to validate their email address before being added to your contact list.

FUN FACTS :)

The Top Hat started Out as a Menace in London James Heatherington, the inventor of the top hat, introduced his design to the world in London during 1797. Upon leaving the retail outlet wearing his unusual headwear he was surrounded by a crowd of onlookers where some pushing and shoving ensued, resulting in women fainting and a young boy having his arm broken. After this incident, Heatherington was arrested, summoned to appear in court, and fined £50 for going about in a manner "calculated to frighten timid people." Within a month, he was of course overwhelmed with orders for the new design. Class distinction being what it is, only the less informed still call it a top hat. The middle classes referred to as a 'silk hat'. A gentleman always asked for a 'topper'.

JUST FOR LAUGHS :)

Only in Australia ... can a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance. Only in Australia ... do supermarkets make sick people walk all the way to the back of the shop to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front. Only in Australia ... do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries and a DIET coke. Only in Australia ... do banks leave both doors open and chain the pens to the counters. Only in Australia ... do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and lock our junk and cheap lawn mower in the garage.
